Sight and Sound Theatre – Branson, Missouri

Visiting the Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson Missouri

The Sight and Sound Theatre, opened in 2008.  This is one attraction you will not want to miss while in Branson, Missouri.  The unique theatre is a beautifully well-maintained building with its manicured lawns.  Its lobby is both grand and elegant.

The Sight and Sound Theatre produces Christian based live productions that brings biblical stories to life. With the massive panoramic stage; great acting; beautifully made costumes; special effects; the audience is immersed into the play and becomes a part of the production.  The productions has live trained animals; outstanding acoustics and spectacular well thought out and designed sets.

The story of Moses came to life and the audience was captivated by the ease at which the talented actors portrayed of the biblical story. The singing was wonderful. The scene changes appeared to have been effortless. The special effects helped create the atmosphere of reality. In the scene of the parting of the sea, everyone in the theatre felt the wind blowing as the seas parted and rose on each side of the panoramic screens.

The acoustics only added to the sense of wonder.  It allowed the audience to feel part of the production. You actually heard a collective ‘awe” from the people in attendance for the production at the venue.

Although the story of Moses has now finished its two year run at the Branson, Missouri location, it appears the production of Sampson is on the horizon for the venue in 2018.

Moses is undeniably the best live show I have ever seen. I was stirred by both the story and its portrayal by the actors. It was very apparent by the tears running down some of the other theatre guests that I was not the only one who felt this way.

Regardless of which creative Sight and Sound Theatre production being presented during the time of your visit, this attraction should be on your must see list. By viewing the hundreds of reviews on each of the previous performances, such as Joseph, Jonah, Noah’s Ark and The Miracle of Christmas, you can certainly reason that any production put on at this venue will be of the same high quality.

I will definitely be trying to plan another trip to the area in order to take in the production of Sampson in the future.
